I gave blood today!

I gave blood for the first time today! It was scary at first, but it really didn't hurt that bad. The bus that we gave blood in was really cold, and no one wanted to stick me, because they said I have small veins. But finally someone tried, and they got it on the first try! They did great! It was funny because I have been taking iron supplements so I could give blood today and my iron count was 16.7 and that is like extremely high. I told them I had been eating a lot of steak.

English Bulldog puppies

English bulldogs are the cutest dogs in the whole world. Michael has always wanted one, and someday I promise I am going to get him one. They are such sweet animals and they would win the #1 award for being the cutest dogs ever. I think if I got one, I would name him Sniper. I think that is the perfect name for a bulldog. Once I get out of college, I may get one. But until then it is probably not a good idea. Because I don't think IU lets you have bulldogs your dorm room.

Lifeguarding

Over the summer, I lifeguard at a beach in my community. I have worked there for two years, and I really love my job. One of my really good friends, Brittany, works with me. We have a really good time. Most of the time, we just lay out and tan. We don't get a lot of business and when it rains, we just sit in the guard shack and watch movies all day. It is the perfect job. I only have one year left on my life guarding license, which makes me sad. It is the best job in the whole world.

Phlebotomy

Recently, I earned a degree in Phlebotomy at a nearby college. This is really important to me because it will allow me to work while I'm in college in a hospital as a Phlebotomist. It was a hard class, and it took a lot of time because I had to miss a lot of my swim meets to go to class at night. But in the end, I think it was worth it. When I am older, I want to work in healthcare and I think this will give me a lot of experience in that area.

Chicago

Every spring break, Michael and I go to Chicago with his family. It is really special to us, because we do not get to see his family very much. It is a lot of fun and I always look forward to going. It's not really that far of a drive or anything, and it's not really that big of a deal, but its always exciting for me to get away for a little bit. We usually shop and eat at really nice restaurants, Chicago has the best places to eat. Last year, we went to navy pier. It was somewhere that I have never been before, and we went on a really big ferris wheel. Michael is really afraid of heights, so it was a challenge getting him to go on it with me. Someday we might go somewhere else, but for now Chicago is okay with me.

I wrecked my car in the snow...

I have an amazing boyfriend. We have been together for 5 years on September 22. He is a great friend and a good person to talk to. He makes me laugh and we have a lot of fun together.
